Historic Spanish Revival Renovation and Addition
One of three original Thomas Rowe residences built for Historic Don Cesar Hotel’s management team in 1925, this project is as much about preservation as it is renovation or addition. A primary goal was to leave as much of the original building intact as possible. Adding structural mass, and modern storm-proofing measures, to such a grand, old, building offered many other challenges. Using 3-D computer modeling software, EDAD first won over the owners, then won over the neighbors and review boards through variance processes to re-establish this gem as the place to live for generations to come.
