EDAD built three digital models using the same floor plan and layout to illustrate to the clients how their retirement dream home could reflect any of three different architectural styles: Island, Transitional, or Modern. All plans feature: sustainable construction methods and materials; environmental site orientation maximizing north-south exposures while reducing east-west solar gain; transom ventilation and pre-cooling porches to reduce summer electrical loads; accessible open plan with outdoor living spaces, flexible interior living spaces, & separate office space; a gray water system and natural irrigation/xeriscape.
