Pass A Grille Boathouse
Small lots and FEMA regulations often force people to build up, resulting in a vertical shoe-box of a house lacking classic proportions. Instead, by maintaining a Key West aesthetic to tie in with the local character of the neighborhood, EDAD created a split-level layout that allowed the profile of the home to stay low to the ground. We designed the home to work with the Florida environment, with deep overhangs and large porches to provide shade from the sun. Additionally, this home features cutting-edge green technology with LED lighting, solar, and a split AC system. This house is in the process of being certified by the Florida Green Building Coalition.
