"Off the Air" Beach House

Located on the beach in Indian Shores, this home was designed for the changing needs of a couple from Ohio. We also acted as the liaison to the builder throughout construction to facilitate the distance. Currently used as a vacation home, it will eventually become their permanent retirement home primarily for them, but with the ability to accommodate their large family. An open floor plan centered on the views facilitates this vision. The beachy shingle style helps achieve a grounded feel while adding detail and character. Low-maintenance and storm-proof materials and techniques were employed throughout, as were the vernacular proportions and details.
